      Rated 5 von 5 von aus Great multi-purpose appliance! We eat brown rice exclusively, and it has worked well for that. I do find that the auto switch to warm after cooking rice is of limited value, since I really have to immediately remove the inner cooking pot from the appliance to a cooling rack or the rice on the bottom "burns" into a sort of crust. The crust does not stick and the pot is very easy to clean, but the appearance of the rice is better avoiding the crust. The steamer that fits inside the top of this appliance is wonderful. I have used it multiple times for steaming a pound of frozen vegetables while the rice is cooking, or just adding water to the pot when not cooking rice. Also love the retractable cord. Had a different brand of rice cooker for a number of years and this one is much nicer!

      Rated 3 von 5 von aus Cuisinart CRC-800 rice cooker could use tweaking I like but don’t love my rice cooker. It does a great job cooking rice quickly and is simple to use. But, it’s messy. While cooking, it boils over, gunking up the exterior of the rice cooker and the counter tops. I’ve never cooked more than 4 cups, don’t dare try 8 cups. Also, on the under side of the lid there is a crevice between the glass and the steel rim that is tough to clean. I’d say some redesign is in order.

We like the ruined one, and were happy, yea even delighted to replace it with an updated same model. We use it all the time to cook rice, and it always works perfectly. It is important to learn exactly how much water to use with the specific rice you're using. Too much water, causes excess liquid to be ejected from the vent holes and makes a mess. Too little water creates what our children called "grindy rice," that is undercooked rice. Some experimentation is needed, but once you get the right ratio, the cooker creates great rice every time.
